Dr. Shaun Stuto
Hi. I’m Dr. Shaun Stuto. Thank you for taking the time to visit my website, and consider hiring me for your chiropractic needs. Out of all the great chiropractors in Missoula, I’m honored to be in front of you, to earn a chance to help you, as I have so many others.
I promise not to bore you with too many details “about me,” because I know you are here to take care of you. My intention is to provide you with enough information to see that I’m qualified to help you, and that other people, just like you, have trusted me with their backs, and their well-being.
In 2009, I graduated from the Southern California University of Health Sciences. I chose that school because of its emphasis on patient-centered, scientifically researched and validated, techniques to help chiropractic patients heal naturally, without the need for drugs or surgery. We learned an individualized approach, where each patient is different, and requires specific attention. You don’t get a one-size-fits-all program that resembles an assembly line when you choose me as your doctor.
With me as your chiropractor, you will benefit not only from my knowledge and experience with pain relieving care, but also from my diverse background in personal development, peak performance, bodybuilding/powerlifting, and a passionate study of human behavior.
I’ve always believed that the body contains everything it needs, by design, in order to thrive, and be healthy. Our natural state is health, not disease. It is quite apparent that our modern way of living, as a culture, is eroding this inborn tendency towards health, and vitality, and chiropractic can, and must play a major role in reversing this trend.
When I decided to be a chiropractor, I was an avid gym goer, and also a personal trainer. I wanted to know more about movement, and the human body. I had competed on the bodybuilding stage, and I tended to surround myself with people who took exceptional care of themselves. I’ve been fortunate to learn from some of the very best (in many areas of life), and I won’t ever stop learning, or sharing my knowledge and experience. The word “doctor” comes from the latin root “docer” meaning “to teach.” Doctor literally means teacher. Because of this, school is never out for me.
The catalyst for me to pursue health care occurred within three days of saving a mans life. I was out to dinner with family, and friends, when my mom observed a tall man choking behind me. The mixture of a rich buttery steak, and red wine must not have traveled well.
I ran across the room, while others sat by and watched, and performed the Heimlich maneuver on this man. As he was about to pass out in my arms, and my adrenaline surged, he gasped a shallow, and painful breath. I saved this mans life, and he changed the course of mine forever.
I was three years into a communications degree with an emphasis in advertising, and starting year four. It didn’t matter at that point. I knew what I had to do. I took on three additional years of undergraduate study at San Diego State University, and the equivalent of five years of chiropractic school. (10 trimesters year-round for three-and-a-half years).
What I believe sets me apart, and makes me an asset to you, is my willingness to do the things I say alongside of you. If I make a recommendation, it is because I’ve tested it on myself first, and I believe it will help. I provide practical, user friendly advice.
When I set out into practice, my vision was to inspire change within the community, and not just the individual. Through this website, my articles, newsletters, videos, and constant self-experimentation, I hope to add practical value to your life, and affect positive change in the areas of health, wealth, and attitude.
Whether we ever work together on your spinal health, or not, I wish you prosperity in all areas of your life.
Sincerely,
Shaun Stuto, D.C.
